Picked up Hobie Revolution today, its love.

google search texas kayak fisherman. there’s a rigging forum with a lot of discussion on outriggers.
They definitely make standing easier. You can build your own for about 10-15 bux and weight will be less than 5 pounds.

If it makes your sight fishing better then do it

So much water, So little time

Took the revo out off Folly Beach sunday, 3-4 foot surf, perfect boat, got out and over the waves easy and peddled the 3.5 total down and back to the pier from the county park where I launched.

Didnt take rod with me as I was just testing it for the surf and to see how well my surf skills held up. had the sail with me but was too chicken to try to put it up while underway. Only got dumped once, when coming back in, cause I wasn’t perpendicular to the incoming waves, but then I just flipped it over and kinda surf’d it back in on my belly the short distance to the beach.

Between that and towing the 18’ motorboat out of pluff on Saturday, im really getting impressed with this critter. Got the Eagle Cuda 250 on order, should pick it up tomorrow, get a battery and figure out my installation for it then ill always know where I am when im lost.

you can lead the expedition to the near shore reef at the end of this month or beginning of June.
if I get too tired from paddling you can tow me to shore.

Personally, after seeing your post on SCKayak I think you are beginning to get a little hooked on Hobie tow services <grin> Might need to make a Sea Tow type business and start charging you
