Definitely not talking crap about your boat. I know nothing about a Ranger CC. I know they make one of the the best/ heaviest bass boats. My point is some people think they can go in any conditions b/c their boat is a certain length. There are 26 foot boats that cost anywhere from 60k-260k so yes there are a difference. I don’t think it would be too comfortable in a 20knt wind. Hell I’ve been on 60 footers where it wasn’t fun. I would look for days where it’s >15. Good luck. Hope you get to go.

You should hire Sellsfish or someone like Tugted for a day. Seriously you’d learn more in a day with one of them than you can learn in a year asking questions like this.
From the questions you ask, I’d say you are not ready to take a boat offshore. Just my opinion of course. It means something to some people, nothing to others. I’ve been there myself and have learned a wealth of information over the last ten to fifteen years fishing offshore. The bulk of it needs to be learned offshore on the water, but you need an experienced person there with you when you make a mistake. It’s relatively easy to die offshore. Don’t be that guy. It seems like every year someone gets hurt or worse by doing something stupid. Fishing offshore is incredible and like nothing else in life, but it’s dangerous if you don’t respect it and take precautions.
