I am actually heading down that way next weekend to see my son. I have an extra large blue tarp and a box of roofing nails. I can probably have you done in an hour or so. None of that Bonzo beer I hope.

When I first moved to charleston a courtesy driver for service department of Rick Hendricks dodge on river was giving me a ride home and asked if I fished. Well I ended up with this for $35. Do not have his name but you may be able to call service department and ask if they have a courtesy driver there who makes and sells them . Retired guy who was just keeping busy.

They sell those ceiling mounted racks at haddrells point in mt p. I use them and they are great.

Don't forget to mention the $50-$100 each rod holders!!!
Does tend to drive the cost up a bit. Easily replaced by PVC.

There you go. Man, that must be sweet having a CNC router. I’d be making stuff all the time.

It is, but I’m a total rookie at handling the CAD (worse than a rookie lol) but I am in training on how to do such things with it.
Running the thing is a piece of cake, anyone that can run a web browser can cut cabinets on the router.
We’ve cut out a lot of crazy things with it, but they were all CAD’ed by the shop owner… someone I’m not about to bother for CAD’ing side work. Once I learn how to do it, I can do all I want though.

Thats what i was thinking. Dang thats a few 100 bucks on rod holders but it looks nice. But you could use the plastic material ones that are like 7 bucks but it wouldnt look as cool. it would however be just a functional. i coated the wood on mine with 7 coats of epiphanes and they look sweet!

Brooks Woodworking on Sullivans island does good work on anything from small projects like this to large furniture ect. Also they could use some old or reclaimed wood to give it a cool look instead of reg wood. 8436963044
You can make a very inexpensive, but attractive rod rack with 2 6’ 1"x2" strips and 2 dozen coat hooks. Finish off the strips with a little stain and some sealer, then attach the coat hooks 6" apart on each strip and then mount them to a couple of studs in your wall with 4-6 3" screws.
I used some nice brass coat hooks and it looks and works great. Since I use mine in my garage I didn’t bother to finish it off. I think it took me about an hour from start to finish. I have a jig saw but didn’t want to put that much time into it. Simple, functional and fast.
