In the “small world” department, what caught my eye was the name of your boat… and remembering seeing it being trailered past the entrance to my subdivision this weekend… Truly a small world (Great name for a boat, too… from another “O Brother” fan)
2002 Duracraft 1548 - Mercury 25 2-stroke - and a paddle
I don’t want to sound like a salesman here or anything, but…
No gococks, Z-man is a fishing company that has previously specialized in soft bait (ElaZtech) and skirt production (EZSkirt and SilaFlash) for many of the big fishing brands (i.e. Strike King) and is slowly going direct to market.
Over a year ago local fisherman Ron Davis came to Z-man to be the exclusive producer if its now world famous Original Chatterbait which has been winning freshwater tournaments the world-over and is slowly making its way into the saltwater market through products like the Chatterbait GoldCoast and the Big Game Series Chatterbait for offshore use.
Z-man has dabbled in offshore products for many years but is really getting into the game with a launch of a number of hot lures and other offshore fisihng products at this year’s Icast show.
Team RUNNOFT has been spear-heading the final stages of the R&D process for Z-man by fishing the SilaFlash lures, EZTeasers, and EZSkirt products.
Looks like Z-man really hit a home run with these baits!! Those fish speak for themselves!

Swamp Rat- Boat is out of Riverland Terrace. Name was inspired by O Brother (sounded better than Hillbilly Fishin’.)
EccBecc - Thanks for the shout out, When is the half mine team headed out again?
WakeandSno - Thanks for the opportunity to be involved in the Zman R&D program. Those Silaflsh EZ Skirt lures definitely contributed to the landing of this fish. I hate to give up any secrets but the bull hit on the prototype Elaztech flying fish. You have got to get that thing into production.
Also thanks to
Haddrell’s Point West Ashley for always having plenty of Bionics
Captain Tindal of the Chicora for the pro tips
Buddy Smith of Discount Marine for keeping us floating
Pepe Hernadez of The Hobcaw Hacienda for the tackle
Zman fishing for the hot lures
and the crew - Dustin Hunter, Charles Hollingsworth, Andres Hernandez, Joey Prochazka, & of course our angler Molly Prochazka
decided i needed to get a username and say thanks to everybody for the really nice comments about my fish He almost killed me and I could hardly walk the next day, but ■■■■ it was worth it! Thanks Joey, Dustin, Chuck and Dre-man for getting him in the box! Yeah, yeah Team RUNNOFT! Moll
Well our “official” scale is the bathroom scale that you can see in the first picture. Dustin weighed in at around 145 and then he held the fish and the scale read 209, so I guess “officially” it was 64lbs.

Awesome.
Quick question…is “Dustin” a 4th grader or a jockey?
Molly is correct about the weight. We called it 60 lb just to be safe. You guys are ruthless about estimated weights on this site.
The fork length ended up being 64". Fish this long usually weigh in the 70’s (according to dolphintagging.com.) I am guessing he is probably bigger than 60 but oh well. We are kicking ourselves in the a** for not weighing him for the trident. Still a good trophy and an unforgettable memory for the crew. BTW His head measured 17" across.
I’ll let Dustin handle the 4th grader/Jockey comment.

Nobody is ruthless when the weight is actually believable. But it's really easy to tell the difference between 10-15lb fish and 25-30lb fish. We caught a 58lb fish a few years ago. I'm 6'8" and the tail of the fish hit me in the collar bones when head was planted on the ground. When they get that big though, an inch or two of girth can make a big difference. Congrats on your fish.
