Starting Fly tying

If you whip finish then you do not have to seal your final knot, especially freshwater flies. that’s what the whip finish is for. However, sealing it can certainly help the fly last a bit longer when your fifth red is chewing on it. forget the orvis sealer or head cement or whatever its called. use clear nail polish instead. or get colored if you want! much cheaper and easier to apply. super glue works as well but be realllll careful with that stuff

I bought the kit mentioned previously. The video included gave some VERY helpful hints, but the vise is JUNK! Stay away from it and buy the materials and colors you want. Don’t get discouraged, it’s really not that difficult, my first redfish OTF was on a purple clouser i tied myself-SATISFACTION!
