Well, guys . . . this was almost a good story. Thanks to everyone for their well wishes and attention. Our fellow member Romex found what appeared to be a strong tip. His diligence is much appreciated. Thanks, Romex. Law enforcement acted on the tip to find a boat that was nearly identical to the missing Hydra-Sports. After accessing a fenced in yard to inspect, it turned out not to be the right boat. Dang! It was such a promissing tip.
Sorry everyone for the roller coaster. It seemed like there was good news for a while yesterday afternoon.
And, we can’t thank everyone enough for coming together and keeping our collective eyes peeled. As someone said above, this is a great example of how social media can help when things go wrong. Who knows where, but this boat might still be out there somewhere.
I’m afraid it’s sitting on the side of the road somewhere in Miami stripped.
