Italian dressing on fresh fish... I'm sure that's a felony or something...

It’s at least got to be a party foul!

I used to fish every kingfish tournament between Jacksonville and Little River, but haven’t fished a tournament in 15 years or more. Got tired of it, got nothing to prove and to me it took most of the fun out of fishing. But it’s like eating fish, to each their own taste. SKA tournaments are VERY competitive.

Mac Daddy, I’m not a huge fan of red snapper either. I’d rather have a blackfish or trigger.

AGREED all around, Larry. Hard to beat blackfish, maybe the conservationists will give some leeway on the Snapper season, since you and me don’t care much about eating them(ha, ha).

That tournament mess only took me twice to realize that was not for me, no sleep, little rest, EXPENSIVE, and too competitive for me.

I DO love that screamin’ drag of the King strike, nothing like it inside 40 or so miles from shore for me.
“The big one’s still swimming, let’s go.”

I tried cooking King several ways and pretty much had come to the conclusion that I didn’t like it. My wife pan sauteed some with some tomato/garlic paste seasoning and it was great. I’ll be pan sauteing it from now on.

Can anyone post a good recipe for smoked fish dip. Ive had it in Florida plenty of times and would like to make some at home

There are a good number of kings out at the E.B. right now. While we were pitching baits to p-nuts & jigging in the afternoon had several swim around the boat. Usually just cruised by. Appeared to be mostly smaller fish though 10-15lbs. Planning on going out there soon and live baiting the break just for kicks. --No, they were not cudas.
