Sunday April 2nd??

Some doofus in like a 25ft yellow center console ran down the beach about 50ft off the beach and ran my lines over and tried a few spots within a couple miles of the beach before heading out of site offshore.

That’s funny and all but he ran about 15 ft from people swimming pretty stupid.

April 2nd they said, it’ll be nice they said.

We made it about 2 miles out of Stono Inlet and turned around. It sucked. Bad. Between wondering if we were going to get swamped, I was cursing NOAA forecasters. There were 2 ft waves in the Stono, not even near the inlet!

Administration should step in at some point and do something soon or we’re all doomed…

Ride out was nice, caught some fish before it got too sloppy, then about 9 it started building in the stream. True 4’s stacked with 2ft wind waves are not fun for much of anything.

Slow ride in for the first 30miles from the ledge, opened up a bit after that. Lost two wahoo due to tackle failure, 130lb 7 strand broken on one, Stainless welded ring let loose on the other. Missed one wahoo on deep rod.
6 tunas and came unbuttoned on a few more ( probably due to seas)

I’m ready for some nice weather. I was wondering if we should have stayed on the hill about 1130/1200 when we pulled lines and headed to the house in some nasty slop.

This year starting off just like last year, which was the worst weather ever. I hope it gets better soon.

Ride out of the jetties yesterday at 0530 was fine. 2 foot rollers 8 to 10 apart. Started picking up around 10/1030 out at the GT hole. Cruised dont to eh SW Banks and packed it up at 130 with 3 to 4’s stacked. First 20 miles in sucked till we hitched a ride behind a sporty. By the time we hit the jetties they were 6’s stacked with an 8 here and there. All in all great day even if the weatherman sucks LOL

Saturday was the day to push out. Sunday’s forecast slipped to Saturday… I called the bouy around 3 am sat 41001 report was 3 ft @ 8 sec. Told the boys lets roll! 2 other boats all day…The wind died in the afternoon making the ride easy back in.
