Thanks Yellabird. People like you help the rest of us avoid being bulldozed. Lets not forget the “truth in seafood labeling” law. Right in your own district in PI there is a seafood store front on 17 selling Asian catfish(swai)labled “local grouper” “packed for travel” for over $13 per lb

Does anyone have an idea how the council votes are leaning on amendment 17 (MPA’S) ??

Also - Yella : sent a letter to Senator Campsen recently. The food service people & grocers will push against this bill.

Unfortunately, you’re correct. Thankfully, many of the respectable guys have been really supportive. The shady one’s, on the other hand, are scared and in opposition. It should be pretty easy to figure out where to eat after seeing who opposes this bill.

The restaurant and store operators demand truth in labeling from their distributors - and correct country of origin notation on the package, however they (some) want to deny this to their customers. Must be lots of money involved!

Got the latest from the SAFMC and they are pushing amendment 17 back to Sept. The water probably started getting to hot for now.
