That has to rate as one of the most moronic statements that I’ve heard a game hog make lately.
Here’s one hint as to why they breed and stock stripers…they haven’t had good spawns in years, so DNR is trying to supplement the poor spawns they’ve had. Even in a good year, the landlocked ones aren’t really good spawners. Just because they’re bred and stocked doesn’t justify two yo-yo’s keeping over the limit.
It’s a crying shame DNR didn’t catch you two bozos. Santee’s striper fishing has really gone downhill over the years…I guess Murray will be next.

The Stripes in Murray don’t reproduce at all. Striper need about 50 miles of non-silty river to spawn. The ones out of Marion spawn in the Congaree, but not the ones in Murray. They stock a million fingerlings a year in there.
Just because they are stocked means you can keep more than 2X your limit of undersized fish. You would have had plenty of meat off of the few decent ones you caught but you had to be pigs. I hope you get caught.
