Capt Mike Maddalena’s website is bigfishonguide.com (or you can just google bigfishonguide). While he’s based out of Lake Lanier, the “Trophy Trips” are scheduled up in Tennessee. My understanding is that the trips may be scheduled all throughout the year and different lakes/rivers may be utilized, dependent on what size one is targeting. I had suggested that we try and stay in the 20-30 pound range rather than going after a 40-50 which I was afraid may be too much for Patti. We just drove up through Asheville and picked up I40 to Knoxville. Setting cruise control on 70, it was about a 4 1/2 hour trip. Not sure if there is a better route.
