goes well with the shirt, perfect in fact. Must not be talking about the local boat blue boy.
Yes, Local boat Blue Boy…Dads company chartered it once or twice a year for clients for 7+ years that I know about. Love that boat. From what I can remember was a 52 or 56 ft something. Captain at that time was super cool. Went once at 15 years or so and he showed me all the ropes on the tower and was trying to teach me a lot. A lot that I didn’t understand at that point.

You’re right, it wasn’t the Blue Boy. I stand corrected. We had chartered the Blue Boy for some years but after speaking to dad sd it had sunk or hit a buoy or something that caused a hole in it and was out of commission so we chartered another boat. He can’t remember the boat name or the captains name at this time. So, the boat is now annonymous…Can anyone name the boat? Again it was over 5 years ago and only went once on this boat but I think I remember the captain saying a 52’ or 56’ Sea Ray but that sure doesn’t sound right…

not sure about the tournament we were fishing. I was just there to fish at that time. Was advised when we got on the boat that we were in a tournament so we needed to do as the deckhand said when hooked up. I was thinking the same thing now abt the weight b/c it sure doesnt look more than 18lbs or so to me…Back then I thought it was atleast 70-80 :)…was my first blue water fish at that time…we weighed in a dolphin at 22lbs that day as well. I tried to research may 2005 tournaments but all I could find was the trident. We weighed in at the docks on the left if you were leaving remleys and pass under hwy 17 bridge.Im now familiar with Charleston so I dont know what that place is. That’s where we left out of as well b/c I remember the hotel behind the docks. Scale was out on docks near the end if I remember correctly. Again this could also be false b/c at that time I really didnt know where I had been b/c only trips to charleston were to fish the charter and was there at 430 or 5am

Wow wont ask about weights anymore, haha. If that other wahoo is 26 then mine is definetly over 30, it was thick, I know its hard to judge the size in that pic. My buddy that gaffed it is about 6’4 270 and he said he curls 30lb fish in the boat with no problem, and this took a bit more effort for him he said. . Anyways working on getting a scale, thanks for everyones in put!
You’d be amazed how much fish shrink when they touch a scale. I estimate and then weigh in fish for tournaments all the time–and for fun–and still over estimate a good bit.
My guess is that neither one of those fish are 20 lbs.
ok the first may be 24-ish…good eating any size though
Btw, get em Fran!

Agree as to the fish weights…but hey all I really said was that the boat was not Blue Boy. That, I know for sure.
