Which bay boat is best

I have a SF 220Xt 2012 and absolutely love it. I have owned many brands of boats over the years and this is by far my favorite. I would be more than happy to take you out on mine if you would like. I looked hard and long and the same brands you mentioned. The SF had the best cost to value.

Look at the post count by those folks who said Sea Fox!

I have not posted here much, but I am a senior member on THT. Over 1500 posts. I just moved back from Seattle, so I did not have the need to get advice from here until recently for the local area.

get a pathfinder they have a 21 or 22 foot bay boat at rogue motion on folly road that looks great!

There is no greater fan of fly fishing than the mud minnow.

go to hulltruth.com and ask the same question…I have a sea pro and shearwater,… the shearwater is much better than the sea pro,

if i was choosing the ones you listed, sea hunt would be my first choice, then key west ,then nauticstar…then… keep looking

I have been in a couple of Sea Hunts & it is a real dry / smooth ride.

I am also looking for a new bay boat. I have been searching and researching for about 3 months. I would love a 22’ Pathfinder or Shearwater but even the late model used ones are pricey. I have a 1997 Scout 162 with a Yamaha 90. Great boat, but I want to upgrade to a bigger, newer boat. I tend to keep stuff a long time and am looking towards retirement in a few years, so I really want new or maybe 2 years old at most. So, all that being said and for the money, I am currently leaning towards the Nautic Star 2110 Sport or 2200 Sport, but no final decisions have been made.
If only money was no problem…

Thank’s guys for some of the ■■■■■■■■. Where are the best places to look for a used boat?

Chris V has a 2005 or so 21’ Sea Boss w/ a Yamaha F 150 that you ought to jump on.

I have been searching Boattrader.com. There are several websites to search but I have found that they all seem to have the exact same boats. Think about it, if you were selling a boat, why not advertise on every free site? Biggest downside that I have found is having to wade through all the ads for new boats when I am really looking for a late model used boat. Boattrader has a fairly easy to use search engine. Just search for a boat style and not any particular brand and you might get some ideas on boat brands that you may not have been aware of.

I’ve always had good luck buying boats and trucks on Craigslist.com

Just to ask for a few more options on maybe a little bit cheaper side, does anyone have opionions on the Carolina Skiff or Sea Chaser models? also looking just know Im not gonna be able to buy a NauticStar or Key West. any other suggestions? Something else I have been curious with while researching is how many people are weary of buying used boats bc of motor warranty and if you have ever used a warranty on a new boat? go new or used?

Sea Hunt.150 is all you need to push it.

You didn’t list it, but I like my 24’ Triton Bay Boat, with 250 HP Verado. Rides great even in rough water, fishes great, plenty of room for four and lots of storage.

On average how much do the 24 tritons run for?

I found a Triton LTS 220, which is a 22’ Bay boat. If I had it to do over, I’d surely consider the 22’ instead of the 24’ that I have.

I bought a bulls bay 200. You should seriously look at one. Made by Pioneer so the fit and finish is great. Fishing machine that also has that seat all the way along the back so it’s great for the kids too. Very wide, roomy, handles great in a good chop, tops out around 50mph with a 150 on it, shallow draft, you can deck one out around 30k and dam it’s a pretty boat. Locally built too.

the new 210 key west is really nice check it out at butler marine

Just rode in a 24’ Bluewave on Thursday. I was very impressed with the ride and overall layout. Boat was powered with a 250 Suzuki and had more get up and go than I require.
