My shop is my garage, and it is a mess. I just wanted a really nice, functional piece to reload on and to double as a gun bench. BTW, any suggestions for putting something between the press and the table top? I am going to put some sort of gasket so I can protect the top as much as I can.
I decided to mount the press onto a 2" piece of maple. I will clamp it at both ends with C clamps, have great stability, and won’t have to drill in that pretty bench top. This thing has tested my nerves and abilities, but I think it’s gonna wind up better than I expected, and will allow me to use it for a lot more than just gun smithing and reloading. Mr Cracker, when I get it completed, I will send you final pics if you don’t mind posting them for me. Maybe in a new thread.
