No kidding Nikon. I was soooo pumped to find a rod tube and got pump faked when I saw it had that piece of junk in it. I’ve debated giving it to a 12 year old kid who wants to learn to fly fish but am seriously reconsidering because its such a weak rod and I don’t want him to get frustrated.
I agree with you on the need for at least some quality equipment when trying to learn. I’ve bought cheap fly lines and they don’t have the same slickness that a better one does and it certainly affects casting.
