I have been looking for a trailering bracket for this motor but haven’t had any success. This motor has a single ram for trim/tilt so the Yamaha support won’t work. I’m getting tired of messing with the 2x2 I use to wedge the motor in a lower position than the support tab on the motor. Any help would be greatly appreciated…

First off, thanks for all the responses…
On an 02 Yamaha the top of the ram is connected to the motor so a support like the wedge cannot slide over the ram. I also have read that motor supports that connect to the trailer put extra stress on the transom. On my 150 Yamaha I use a support like the wedge so I’m familiar with that…but I can’t find anything that will work on the 90…

I’m no engineer but, I don’t see how one of those transom savers that connects to the trailer and to the foot of the motor puts stress on the transom. If anything, I think it would reduce stress as it supports the motor and keeps it from bouncing.

Like I said, I’ve read some things on line that were not very positive about motor supports that attach to the trailer. Personally, I’ve used that type in the past without a problem but thought there might be something out there that I didn’t know about.
