03 Honda 200 Cowling latch post?

Honda 200 has 4 pins that hold the cowling tight and one latch frees all 4. Front 2 pins “latch” and “unlatch” just as they should. Back 2 pins will not “latch”. All pins include a down facing metal arrowhead with hard rubber grommets around the shaft. Behind the grommets are springs that appear to push the arrowhead down when pressure is applied. I can see no difference in the front 2 pins and the back 2 pins. Anybody ever had this issue?

Had the issue on my 225. Make sure that the linkage pivot pins are well oiled and dab a bit of water proof (synthetic) grease on the striker plates where they engage the pins.

thanks DFL, I found a schematic on iboat.com and greased the right spots.
