My motor runs great when I first crank it and run down the lake. No skipping, hesitating, etc. The problem is when I stop to fish for a while and recrank the motor it cranks fine but when I give it throttle it dies out. Sounds like it is starving for gas. Bulb on fuel line is not completely hard but firm. If I pump it a few times the motor will eventually take off and runs fine until the next time I stop for a while.
Any thoughts on what could be happening?

Have you checked your fuel tank vent? Is it closed or clogged
Have not checked that specifically but when filling the tank I hear a noise coming from the overflow vent on the side of the boat.
thanks

Just put a new fuel line with new bulb from the tank to the motor. I was having this problem before I did that. I was hoping the new line would solve the problem but made no difference.
thanks
