I would wait and let Sellsfish do the report, but that joker will be fishing for the next three days in a row and you’ll never get to see it. Ocean was a little bumpy for us coming and but laid down in the middle for some stellar bottombumping action.
It was slow in the AM, but that afternoon bite was well worth the wait. Had lots of action with the beeliners all day long and a good grouper bite for about an hour solid. Missed two or three other good bites. Couldn’t find the triggerfish but a couple managed to stray and run into our hooks. Wish we had gotten more of them (one of my favorite dishes), but all in all a good day on the ocean. Wet ride back in late.
Water temp was 71 40 miles out.

I didn’t even get to use it; Paul wouldn’t get out of “his corner” of the boat. Guess I’ll have to add 20’ of cable to it and I’ll be able to fish out of the bow from now on… [:0]

Triggers are one of my favorites also. Havent had any in about 4 years though.I need a few offshore trips to fill my freezer.Freezer only has two small quart bags, whiting, black & red drum, of fish and 4 frozen water bottles .
