05/16 offshore with Salty Dog (with pictures)

Hi everyone,

We took a charter for my sons 15th birthday and took one of his friends and my wife along. It was a beautiful day one water. We found a weed line in 150 ft of water and lines were in around 7:30.

When the day was done we put 19 dolphin, 1 wahoo (35 lb), and a king in the boat. Dolphins varies in size with the two largest approx 25 pounds. One of those put up an incredible fight, nearly spooling a penn GLS, and picking up about 20 pounds of weeds in the process!

Each boy caught his first dolphin and I know it is a trip they will remember for the rest of their lives.

I wanted to thank Capt Cot Smith and crew for a great day of fishing. They were friendly and very hard working.

I will add some pictures as soon as I figgure out how to do it.

Awesome! Great time for sure!!

I’d love to own on of those types of boats, but I wouldnt want to try to park them in the amount of space given lol!

Duke, they are actually easier to control than your boat, imo

That’s a great family day there. Congrats on a great catch.

Thanks Sirecks. It was a great day.

Seachaser210…I do not doubt your statement, but I would certainly have to get some hands on experience in handling something that large before I would ever think of buying one!
