05/29 at the hole

Met with realfish01 at 3:45 at the dock. A storm cell had just passed after building directly over and paralell to the shoreline…pulled out at 4:05 headed to the hole with 900 ponies near behind:smiley:. We ran into some sloppy water near the end of the jetties and throttled back to 28.5 knots for the majority of the ride on the moonlit water. Put the lines in at the hole at 6:30…the tuna were there but the bite was slow… we had three knockdowns on the waybacks with cedar plugs but barely came tight on them. This was the morning bite:face_with_head_bandage:… picked up and ran the scenic route around some T storms to sw banks…one of which had a funnel cloud dropping down until it was about half way to the water then it broke up… at around lunchtime we found a rip with a scattered weedline and a small break… caught and released a small dolphin right away… caught a slinger cow about 30 min after that…not long after that had a decent bull and a nice cow in the box… picked at em after that. Slow morning but rebounded a little in the afternoon. We picked up about 3:30 and ran in a little ways to drop some jigs… caught and released a strawberry grouper a little undersized and a few various other bottom dwellers. The water was good at times and pretty sloppy at others but all in all a great day to be on the water! :sunglasses:

Total
8 dolphin for the day

Nice job! Glad you found some fishies!! :slightly_smiling_face:
