Left from Remleys around 0800 yesterday and decided to troll between 40 and 65 feet for kings. I got out past the rocks and the ocean was a confused mess. Tried getting through it but about 2 buoy sets out decided to turn around and troll the harbor. We trolled the harbor for about an hour. managed one Spanish on a 00 Clark spoon. After the hour it seemed the ocean calmed down just a bit. I managed to get out to 65 feet, deployed the spread of artificials and slowly made my way back inshore. Overall I trolled about 3 to 4 hours and landed one king about 30 inches FL. I had a nice time and luckily got one in the boat. Windfinder said 2.5 feet at 8 seconds yesterday… yeah, right!

4 seconds is a stretch for yesterday! Ocean was a mess. No dead or live bait at all. All artifical. I caught the Spanish on the Sullivan’s Island side of the North jetty. I was just screwing around trying to find calmer water and found it on that side of the jetty. Id say we were about 300 yards off the rocks when the Spanish hit.
