Ran up the ICW and hit some of the back creeks with a buddy. By the time we were able to get out there the tide was already pretty high. Couldn’t get out of the sharks to save our lives. Threw the cast net and was able to fill the livewell with menhaden on one throw. The little dogfish were like piranha on the haden. They literally were jumping on top of the water on our baits. Buddy was able to pickup his first inshore fish and brought in a nice bonnet head. Felt some rain drops and decided to run back to Shem Creek. Was greeted there by about 15 kids using the landing as their own private swimming hole. “Are you gonna put your boat here?” “Yes its going where your head is located.” Someone decided to pass along that the kids have been eyeballing their cellphone and dry bags when they ran up to park their truck. Beware!
