Saw some crazy out of the ordinary stuff today on the water. Chased a bunch of fish first thing on fly which was great. Watched 4 fish sit in this little trough crawling for nearly a hour and finally ended up with 2 fish in what looked like a puddle. I was really concerned about the fish dying because the water still had about 30 more minutes to drop. I have never seen a redfish get stuck anywhere or get concerned about one getting stuck but today Im pretty sure those fish ended up on the mud. On the way in noticed something big laying up on the big and we eased over there. Ended up being a dead porpoise on the bank. Looked like he got hit because he had some pretty nasty prop scars and a broken tail. I have never seen a dead porpoise until today.
Kind of a boring report but these were two things I have never seen.

Just guessing here but, dolphin are pretty much the kings (at least prince) of the water. If a dolphin got hit by a prop I think it was sick or already dead. Again… just my guess.
I have see a few dead dolphin in our local waters. The fish measuring bumper sticker (ruler) that most of us have on our boats has the contact number to report injured or dead aquatic animals. I only say that to let people reading this know how to report an injured animal. I have called it a few times.
Any report of what happened on a fishing trip is a good report, in my opinion.
Interesting stuff Jeremy - sad about the dolphin. I would think if a boat were on plane in a small creek that a dolphin could be hit yet perfectly healthy. Who knows?

not sure where you were but was in the icw on saturday and behind goat on the icw there was a dolphin on top the water with a few boats around it. We didn’t get to close but it definitely looked sick. Was just floating with hardly any movement to it. DNR had already been called don’t know if they actually came or what. Just wondering if that was the same dolphin?
