06' Suzuki 250 Hp Throttle Control

Today, I noticed that my throttle control became very stiff. It was hard to get in and out of gear and hard to give “throttle” or move. Does the throttle shifter need greasing? I clearly don’t know much about this subject, so any input is much appreciated. The motor is only 4 years old and they replaced the throttle control when the motor was replaced. Another thing to note is that it is protected by a hard top and curtains, so it is not exposed to the severe elements. Thanks for your help.

Capt. Ed has some Suzuki motors on his boat. Apparently there are some adjustment screws. I believe this topic came up within the last couple of months. He may chime in with the answer.

there are tension adjustment screws at the throttle, but if this happened suddenly, its most likely an issue with the cables at teh motor having corrosion
