Went out at 0530 until 1030, fished topwater for 1hr no luck, 3 trout on mirroline lures. Went to live finger mullet around docks caught 3 more trout, 2 gar fish, 2 skates, NO REDS! All were caught with carolina rig in 1-5 ft of water. There was a ton of bait fish in the river this morning…a ton.
I helped out a fellow angler this morning as I was leaving. He had a dead battery. I gave him one of my trolling motor batteries for him and his son to go fishing. He seemed to be a nice guy, hope he returns it, and he caught plenty of fish.
