Man, it was a little rough out there today. Headed out 10am to fish the rising tide at the South jetty. Water temp 45-46 degrees. 5 foot swell with some 6 footers and some breakers mixed in. Got anchored up in the rocks inside on the near end. No bites on fiddlers. Not even a BSB. Fog thickened up out there. Visibility of 50-60 yards. Couple container ships. Figured I would try deeper water at the far end. It was a mess at the end of the jetty. Kept motor running and held steady into the waves while bouncing a fiddler along the bottom in some rocks 25’ down. Dog was starting to shiver so we packed it in. Had to navigate via GPS. Cleared up at the fort. Out about three and a half hours without a bite. On the up side talked to some guys at wapoo who pulled 8 reds out of the stono on live shrimp. Maybe I’ll stay in the creeks next time.
Dang weather musta clouded my brain. Got this in the wrong forum
Sounds brutal… better luck next time!
