We were able to escape for a few hours and do a little trolling. First hit took over an hour while we averaged 1 per hour after that. Everything was under sized but they were hard hitters. Several other boats followed our path but we never noticed them catching any. The water is pretty cold right now, about 52f. The water level was decent but should increase today with the rain moving in. Every striper was caught on red/black 15s, we tried a variety of colors from red to blue.

Thanks for info. I only managed 2 shorts today. A little rough out thereā€¦
my stretch 20 in grey ghost still my top lure. Did get a few the other day on a chartreuse t2o and roadrunner on the downrigger with a chartreuse trailer.

So you can troll for stripers at santee? I am from Columbia and have only trolled murray. I figured santee way to stumpy.

I just troll Moultrie, usually around the dam or the channel near banks, wherever the bait balls are. Would not even attempt to troll marion.
