1/23/16 great day!!!

Late start to SW banks area, Beautiful day on the water, tea colored water out to about 20 miles. Spotted a 4x4x8 floating in about 220’ with a lot of bait around it including some decent size dolphin. Ended up with 8 nice fish at ledge. Trolled for Hoo’s–no luck. Started back in and slowed down in 130-120’ depth to troll, hooked-up/lost one something, then 3 minutes later caught a really nice blackfin tuna on a big rapala. Started in and in 65’depth spotted a floating tree (from storm?)fish all around, again dolphin and 2 tripletail. Lots of fun catching these on light spinning tackle pitching cut bait. Finished day with 22-dolphin, 1-blackfin, 5-little tunnies. Fall fishing is great without the crowds!!!
