Targeting redfish on a flat in the Ashley river at high tide just before dark tuesday night 10/1 we caught 5 trout & missed plenty more. First cast, I tossed a live shrimp under a popping cork & within 3 seconds of it hitting the water, fish on, go figure it was the biggest one we caught @ just a hair over 14" we had another 13" & some smaller ones we didn’t measure, probably 10-12".
that’s the 1st time I’ve ever caught trout in slack water @ high tide on a flat, they were all over the place though.
