10/12 Fishing - Good eats in Columbia!

Hooked up with DFreedom for some fishing today. Great day, great company, but a lot of work finding the fish.

We started fishing mud minnows on jigheads along weed lines at high tide. Hit and miss.

We tried drop offs, cuts, banks, you name it during falling tide. Limited success.

All attempts with mud minnows and a few arties. covered A LOT of water and spots.

Saw some bait moving and found some beautiful finger mullet. We fished them at low to incoming tide on drop offs and had decent luck, scoring a flounder, a few trout, and a red to complete DF’s first ever in-shore slam.

Great company, but alot of work to catch a few fish. Water was muddy. Best success was cuts in weedlines with drop offs near by at low tide. Work, work, work! But with GREAT company. I enjoyed the day, Doug!

DF wound up taking a pretty good feast back to Columbia - 2 flounder and a trout. Enjoy, sir!

You bet I will, they are filleted and waiting a hot grease bath. Thanks again Vin, the company was great and even though we had to work for them, the fishing was fun. I owe you brother, you are the man!

You forgot to blur out the background!

Wow, I’ve never seen a picture of the legendary DFreedom. This is like a lizard man sighting or something…

Good job, fellas. Glad your persistence paid off with some good eats.

I was thinking the same thing black bart. Totally not what I expected dfreedom to look like. Glad to see you catching fish, and not behind a desk wishing you were fishing. Good job on the fish and dinner. My wife would be jealous!

Sorry to disappoint guys, that is not really Dfreedom. That is my stand in. Only Vinman really knows what I look like.

I know what DFreedom really looks like , but have been sworn to secrecy. I will say that he’s a lot better looking.
