10/22 Winyah Scarp

Ran out of Murrells Inlet to the scrap on saturday, alittle rough from 25- 40 miles but smoothed out nice once out once there.
Found an awesome weed line and fished it but nothing at all. Trolled around some spots with decent bottom in 150 - 180 feet of water and finally picked up one decent black fin to keep the skunk off the boat. Had two other hits but that was it. Water looked nice, about 74.5 degrees. Anyone have any decent luck out there, that was the worst trip out there I have had this year. Kind of new at it this year, can I expect much else for the year?

thanks for report that cold water for the scarp

We had the same experience. We had a hoo hit a 50 and screamed out line. Fish was on for about 5 seconds then gone. After that we caught 1 skipjack and had a bunch of short hits. Long day and seas got messy at the end of the day.
