Fished yesterday afternoon at both of the gaps. It was dead. Fish had major lockjaw, and I really did not mark many “good” fish. We had four down rods at anywhere from 30-45 feet, two planer boards with 1/2 oz. weights on the lines, and a freeline. Had three hits between 4:30 and dark. Two were rod jigglers, and caught one keeper fish around 4 lbs.
We had black bass schooling all around us with possibly some small striper mixed in. There were crashing minnows. We tried with bucktails and double fluke rigs, but could not get hooked up either.
Still better than sitting at home…
