Found fish a few around Pine Island about 6:30. Found fish but they were not active at all. Pulled baits through them for 30 minutes with one short hit. Crossed over a large bait ball then hit a school of feeding fish. Then the water erupted, the schooled on the surface for about 20 or 30 minutes. I reached for my topwater, line tangled and broke. Throw out a rattle trap and hooked up with a 22" in two cranks. Downline went off at the same time with a 24". Landed them both and did it again with a 22" and a short (18") Fish went down and I got one more 23" on a downline before they vanished just after dark. Never did find fish after dark. Below are pics of the graph for Pirate. Didn’t get a shot of the FF when the fish were thick and feeding, but it was the same as Striperskiff’s pic.
This is the FF on inactive fish
This is a small bait ball
On the left is the tail end of a giant bait ball that had fish on it.
This is trees out over the deep water in dual beam mode.
Nice Tom, I’m sure it felt nice to get on the fish again after searching the past few trips. Now just keep those fish on ice till next weekend and you will be good to go. Can we weigh frozen fish at the tournament?
Here are some pics of the 2 HB units I have used. This is with my HB 385ci(went smaller for new skiff). Saved all waypoints from 787c2 on SD card(over 400 from Murray the Hill and coast…among others). Been happy with it. Cool thing about the HB’s is you can hook them up to your PC and update features at no cost. Got options on my 787 that were not available when purchased new.
