More of the same, just a different locale! Largest school of green fish I have ever seen. Not sure how many green, but only had 2 stripes. All on flies.

I ran out yesterday on Hartwell and caught 4 on the fly. 3 bass and one spot. All good size.
Ive been catching a bunch of bass on Hartwell but cant figure out the stripers. Is it mostly just looking for them busting up top? or do you blind cast at all for them? All I have right now is a float tube so I’m not that mobile on the water.

Had very little success blind castin in Hartwell, haulin ass to the schools on top before the bass boats and yahoos get to em is the best technique, not sure the belly boat is too good for that though.
Unfortunately the float tube is all I’ve got for now. Ive seen them busting but they are always at least two casts away and my fins can only get me so far. I guess I’m just going to have to get lucky to get within range.

They will be closer to the backs of coves before long. If you see an area with lots of baitfish sit on it, they will come up. If you have 2 rods, fish sinking flies to search while you wait. Ride and scout areas to fish and check for bait pods. Good luck.

The bait was thick the other day. We sat in one cove and chased them around. You basically had to wait until they busted something on top then throw right on top of them. They would take it every time.
Thanks for the advice I’ll give it a shot some time next week. I’m gonna hit the Chatooga this weekend see what I can do.
