Put in at day break 1 hour before low. Threw cast net at the ramp, caught plenty of mullet and shrimp. I focused on creeks flowing mouths into main river. It was cold and windy but reds and trout were active. Caught about 20 reds 10 trout, most of them on cut mullet, shrimp got hijacked by bait stealers most of the time. As tide got higher I moved to trout with Mirrorline lure, caught 8-10 more and couple of rat reds around oyster bars. Came back in the afternoon with Buddy Lee, caught 8 reds all on cut mullet, and managed to get a mirrorline treble hook stuck in my thumb down to the bone. Buddy got the needle nose pliers to hank out, and gripped it like a child the first time he yanked. He got it out the 2nd time after he put his MAN grip on it. I didn’t have anything to wrap it with but lead tape for golf clubs I use to add weight to lures. I continued to fish. All in all pretty good day.
Ouch. Hope your doing well.

good on you for continuing to fish
Anything that pulls drag, right?
Way to hang in there and persevere! I know you’re enjoying fishing from the boat too, they are some fine looking sleds!
