Took the wife out for her first fishing trip today around 1000. Pulled up at the landing and the fog was so thick you couldn’t see 25 ft out. Had to wait it out for about 30 minutes or so and headed to the creek. Started trolling throwing a chicken on a chain paddler and within 10 minutes flounder hits split all but 2 left. I decided to switch to MM on Carolina rigs and bobbers with circle hooks and it was none stop action for the last hour of outgoing and first hour of incoming. Trolled out throwing a chicken on a chain paddler and picked up a few trout. Final count 3 reds 10 trout and 1 bluefish. The wife had a great day catching fish and ready to go again soon. Here are a few pics of today. The tiny trout was my wife’s first fish on salt water. All released but one trout that swallowed the hook.
Nice report, and welcome to the site. Good choice of apparel, by the way…

Looks like a nice day. And, I don’t want to burst your wife’s bubble but, I have caught a smaller trout than that. Caught a tiny flounder the same day. Was hoping for a tiny red to complete my mini-slam.

Welcome welcome! She will be out fishing you before you know it! We girls just like to lay low and give you guys a chance to flex your fishing muscles and the “BAMMMM”. We will hit you like a hungry trout hits a top water at daybreak! …and be reeling in fish to the left…fish to the right…fish all day…and hear about it at night. Hahahaha.
Ok… I will behave
Must be the goblin in me today with it being Halloween and all.
Congrats on a good day of fishing!

Penfishn the wife did catch more fish than I did that is for sure. She likes to talk a little trash about it as well. That is what makes it fun.
