DDS. Not much. I scouted some spots and made some fan-casts with topwater in many roadside spots but not so much as a look. Am/pm was slack high tide which didn’t help for sure. Never had enough time to hook up with the contact that 23 sent me
nice pics! like you I’ve been getting zillions of 13" trout and lots of 13" reds mixed in with some quality fish. The small trout almost become a nuisance but makes the future look bright. The small reds, they fight their heart out even at that size. Friday for me was so-so with trout tricks and instant action with small live shrimp. It really must be a great time of year when even I can catch fish.
Hey, Optiker, what kind of net do you use? I need a new one. Mine is fine for everything but trout and treble hooks. I need one that doesn’t bruise the fish and will let go of my lures.

Its a rubber net I got at Walmart for $30. Its AWESOME for fishing with plugs with trebs because they don’t get tangled in it. You know what I mean if you’ve been there. Catch a fish, spend the next 20 min trying to untangle it while your buddy is bailing fish! The rubber nets are better for protecting the slime coating on a trout too, I believe. Wally world sometimes has them, sometimes not. I have noticed that Sports Authority on Rivers has them too, but a little more $. No brainer!
I was looking for a brand name, but Walmart special sounds good enough.
The net I have now is a flimsy but large fold up net. It saves space, but it is a PITA to get out with a fish on. I’m pretty quick with it, but when I hook a fish I have to give a class on how to open it every time.

^^ that is correct, thanks DF. It is a Frabill. Keep at it, DFree, you will get one then you have another problem! Make sure you are getting out there at dawn or dusk for the best TW bite.
