Fished with a great charter from Salt Lake City on Friday. Weather forecast was calling for 10 knot winds and 6 - 10 foot seas. We went straight out, dropped lines in 170 ft of water. First sail couldn’t wait for us to get all lines out, hit the shotgun. Release a very lively fish and 20 minutes later put a nice wahoo in the box. By 9 we had released two sails and two wahoo in the box. Fishing slowed somewhat until after lunch, but the barracudas kept thing interesting, I think we released 8. Couple other boats met us on the ledge and we all started to get more bites about 1:30, boated another wahoo and jumped off a couple sails. Ended the day going 3/3 on wahoo, 2/6 on sails and just had a great day on the water. Oh, the weather was awesome, 10 knot winds, maybe 1 foot seas.
Water color changed at around 150 ft, very blue and clear, no weeds, a few fliers. We caught ALL fish on wire. Put a 6 inch wire ahead of bait and attach it to a wind on swivel, had no cutoffs all day. Never had a bite beyond 200 feet.
