Guys, After stepping up in the world and buying a boat last fall, I’m trying to get the most out of my few trips to the coast. I’ve fished off the beach and out to the Paradise reef over the years in very small boats, but never been fishing off M.I. any further out. Going down to camp the first week of August and looking to take the girls out in the Key West to a good spot for action. It’s a 21’ W/A and so far we’ve been out to the Edisto 40 and will soon do the 60, but I’m trying to figure out if the 10 mile is worth it over Paradise. What type of fish are being caught there? Any help, etc. is appreciated.
Rob
Bsb can be caught at 10 mile, most will be short though. I usually go out further to the goldfinch.
Where can one get into amberjack, cuda, etc. off MI without going 25 miles?
It’s going to be 25 miles for the ajs. BP25, BP, vermillion, goldfinch all fit your needs but are further out. Spades are always a possibility at 10 mile and there are cuda constantly there as well as pawleys wreck.
