16 million Americans fought in that war. Only 300,000 left living. What a great generation of hero’s! Sadley they are passing away at a quick rate… Who knows maybe he will out live Richard Overton, our oldest living World War II veteran who credited smoking cigars and drinking whiskey for his longevity. He made it to 112. He also said Butter peacan Ice cream nightly helped him get that old.
To live to 105 and still be able to function must be amazing!
I hope to be around “a few more years” but, I can’t imagine living that long. Being aware of what is going on around you and being functional at that age is amazing.
Absolutely agree with ya. I guess quality over quantity could be put in here somewhere. Sounds like this dude still has a lot of quality in his life. Then just ease out after a good Sunday meal on the recliner. Maybe a good fried pork chop dinner.
