11/05 (now with pics)

Fished yesterday morning from the old sullivan’s island boat launch. It was pretty chilly when i got on the water (8:00am). But I bundled up and once i got goin i was pretty comfortable… I headed back to the oyster beds i had fished last thursday to chunk some grubs and wait for the tide to start movin, after about and hour i hadn’t even gotten a bite and i noticed that the water was starting to move out so i paddled back out into the creek and started upstream casting at every creek mouth and point that i came across… It paid off big time… after about an hour I finished up with 8 trout, with an average length of 18"… I lost another on at the side of the boat that was well over 20", since i couldnt measure him I cant say for sure, but lets just say its a safe bet. Anyway all of the fish took the SA electric chicken on an unpainted 1/4 oz. jig head… I trie to throw the DOA shrimp but they weren’t having it so i just stuck with my guns and kept catching fish… all in all it was a good morning… hope you guys can get out there and catch em’ up…

Good luck, and tight lines!!

How did the boat do?

Live like you will live forever but live like you will die tomorrow.

what about the flies, tried any of that from the yak yet?

Thats why they call it fishing, not catching

The boat worked great… im still impressed with the stability and ease with which it manuvers… I didnt use the fly due to the hard NW wind i was dealin’ with all mornin but, but one of these days ill get the chance…

Good luck, and tight lines!!

That boat looks just like my Drifter. Is that what it is? It’s the same color as mine too.
