11/12 Cooper

Water temp is 60F in the Cooper (not for long, yikes!)

Had a really fun trip yesterday solo. I was trying a prototype Zman Trout Trick, which I am really excited about! One of the knocks against the TT is how easy it tears, but the ElazTech material solves that problem. The Zman material is more buoyant than the typical TT material so going up a little bit in jig head weight makes sense.

This one was green flecked, and if you have a keen eye you will notice that the color scheme is flipped. They knew this, but weren’t worrying about it since they were just testing their molds. Never mind, they work. They work well!

This is not a commercial, I am not sponsored by Zman but you all know I’m a devotee of the Trout Trick so the new Zman version is really important to me.

I caught the biggest cat I ever have yesterday, and a bunch of other fish. You gotta love this time of year, I wish I could fish every day.

Here are some pics.

Interesting. I spoke with a guy at a local sporting goods store here in Columbia (Barron’s) a few weeks ago. That’s when I found out Zman had bought TT. He said they were “experimenting” with other colors. I’m for anything that might lure something on to my hook but, you always make it look too easy. Man, it would be nice to get all of the benefits of the original TT but with the added elasticity of the Zman material. I remember one day losing 5 TT to blues/crabs. I like that color. Thanks for sharing.

Yes there will be a bunch of colors, but the first to be released (I believe) will be the original color.

Awesome day on the water. I still haven’t landed a stripper.

Hello Opti.

Could you tell me about that knot you used on the super spook junior?

Thanks.

looks like a loop knot to me

It’s a non slip mono loop knot. Easy to tie. Look it up
