I had a few hours today to get out and it ended up being pretty productive. I put in at the bridge around 12pm and started dragging a Mud Minnow on a Red 1/4oz Jig Head while I fished a cork and MM around docks. My intention was to troll the entire time and look for trout but decided to changed it up. After getting down the river a little and missing one fish I hooked up with a nice Red right beside a floating dock. This Red pulled me right under the dock but I managed to land it which ended up measuring a fat 22". While pulling it in my trolling rod get’s taken and I pull up a decent Flounder while the first Red is still in the net! I stayed at that dock until I ran out of the dozen MM’s I bought (needed more). That dock produced two more keepers at 16" and released about 6 more in that size range. I ended up down beside the Boatyard in about 15’ of water catching Trout on White Gulp Shrimp, Z-Man Opening Night and Chicken on a Chain fished on Red Jig heads without a cork keeping 2 trout. Around 2pm decided to paddle back up and head home so I trolled the two different Jig Head flavors on the way. Got a couple more small trout then the “Day Maker” hits the Z-man Opening Night in about 4’ of water. Luckily he hit my 4000 so it wasn’t too much for him. After a nice fight I released a close to 30" Red. End of day head home!
