Taught the girlfriend how to throw a net in the yard while frying a turkey. Went out Sunday, she caught over 1/2 the bait then most of what we brought home…she was pretty excited. Ended up bringing home enough for dinner, 2 Sheeps, 1 Red, and 1 Tautog. Ate well that night and had fish tacos the next.
Ah yes, I know that bait spot VERY well. We still caught a mess of shrimp there at low tide on Saturday. Never really have any luck catching shrimp there at high tide, although the mullet and menhaden run through there constantly when the temps are right. Not to hijack your thread, but I snapped this shot on Saturday at the exact same spot and figured it was worth posting. Great report, thanks for sharing.
