LEG3 and I were in the water in time to see the sun rise behind the lighthouse…threw topwater plugs at the only 2 spots I know of in the Clark Sound (shhh, they are secret) with no luck…so we went looking for bait, also with no luck…so we pull out the fire tail grubs on jigheads and begin catching trout…pulled in 3 from the first spot then moved to spot #2…no fish there so on to spot #3 (old faithful) and immediately began putting keeper trout in the boat…Cuz finished things off with an 18" bass and we were happy campers, all in a half a day on the water…caught 13 or so trout, kept 9…plus the one bass…trout caught on copper color paddletails, DOA but mostly on the green body, red-tailed grub…water was clear and 56-59 degrees…wind stayed NE most of the day 8-12MPH and full sun…our best day on the water in a long time…thanks Cuz, let’s do it again!
