11-3 JI flats 1 pole'd

Actually caught the most so far this season on this trip, around 2/3 cooler all real nice size. I have no doubt that if I would have been able to run the poles I would have coolered out. The kids had a lot of fun, everyone was catching something, and my son found out a large squid can bite you.

I think the camera lens had some salt on it.

Good day Matt, glad yall did well

Bragging may not bring happiness,
but no man having caught a large fish,
goes home through the alley.

MattR,

Sorry to stick my nose in but I do not think your boy sticking the lead weight in his mouth is the best way to throw a net. Sorry if I overstepped.

My daughter would be mad you called her a boy. Besides that, I am a step ahead of you. Their net is one of those el~cheapo walmart nets with the plastic covered steel weights. I got it just for them because its lead free. You can see how big the weights are on the net and it still sinks slowly.

Sorry about the gender thing with the young lady. Glad I said something. I did not know about the covered steel weights on the Walmart nets. That is exactly what I need for my grandson. I do not let him throw the net because of the lead, but with that kind of covered steel weight he can, while I sit on my personally and drive the boat. We both win.

Interesting thread, I love to see the kids get envolved and a family enjoy times like this together… I wouldn’t care if she threw it with her feet as long as they had a good time… LOL

She enjoys shrimping but loves catching spot tails more. Ladyspotslaya…

She has her own Penn battle on a star rod. I couldn’t get her to get a pink rod and reel.
