Headed out at low tide to grab some oysters. Only managed to get 3 mullet in the livewell. Time for a new net.
After I grabbed my share of oysters, I headed to my favorite trout spot. Not even a nibble. I tried every color in my bag. Decided to put the mullet to work on a bottom rig.
An hour later, I had a fish on the line. 1 bite, 1 fish all day. Fished for another hour before I packed it in.
We’re good Buddy, just longing for some water therapy. I was on the range Wednesday, it was absolutely beautiful and all I could think of was how nice it must have been on the coast. Glad you’re getting out. I’ll live vicariously through all of you for a while longer.
“Apathy is the Glove into Which Evil Slips It’s Hand”, but really, who cares?
We did Bulls Bay north on 11/30, falling tide also, fishing for trout. Two of us boated 48 on artificials; #47 and #48 were legal , and the other 46 were short. Where did the larger fish go?
I think they are feeding largely at night with the fuller moon phase. I’m skeptical of realfin’s catch as it is hard to keep track of that many fish especially with out pictures!

Oh yeah! Left the fish and oysters on ice overnight and had some good friends over last night to enjoy the bounty. I should have taken pictures! Fish went on the grill with an old family recipe that’s every bit as good as I remembered. Oysters roasted over the pit of hot oak coals. Cold beer and some good music on a perfect weather evening outdoors in December. Man, I love South Carolina!
