I headed out for a couple hours yesterday afternoon when the wind died down with a friend to go snorkeling for some lobster. Hit one of my favorite areas that I haven’t gone to in a few weeks since it’s been to windy and the water’s been quite dirty. I got 5 keepers, one of which was my personal best at 31 oz. My friend on the other hand, let’s just say she’s still learning…
Hit two spots in 8-4 feet of water, relatively clear water and saw hundreds of babies, and a dozen that were 1/4" too short.

Haha yeah man well I’d say there’s a bit more pressure on them inshore here than offshore out of Charleston! Plus I only burned 5 gallons of free gas to get there and back

We used to catch those things all over the place when I lived in Cuba. We would actually ride around on a pontoon boat in the shallows at night and gig them like folks do flounder. Man I’d like a few of those to eat right now.
They’re Carribean Spiny Lobster and I’m living down in the Florida Keys now. got another 5 this afternoon after work!
