115 4stroke overheat alarm

I have a 02 115 4stroke with the heat alarm going off. Motor only does it when I sit the boat down off plane. Motor pees hard . I shot water jacket with laser,120 degrees. I shot head with laser, 140-160 degrees. I shot the block by oil filter,220-230 degrees.Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.

My Suzuki did this to me one time. It would only run hot at idle. It winds up I had picked up some tiny shells that were partially blocking the intake screen down on the foot. If yours is a suzuki you can take this screen/plate off and blast it with the hose to clear it. Good luck.

When’s the last time the impellar was replaced.
My Merc would alarm if I ran it at less than full throttle.
Pee stream was strong looking but hot as he11 when the alarm was going off. Replaced the impellar and no more problems. Impellar “looked” fine but apparently it wasn’t moving enough water. OBTW, the impellar was less than 2 years old.

If impeller has not been replaced that would be first thing to do, not a hard job but two people make it very easy and less than an hour

If not that could be a poppit valve stopped up

My old Suzie would run hot after a dead idle and it was due to mud/sand it poppit valve according to mechanic. He cleaned it and showed me how to do it on that motor and it was simple but a little bit of a PITA to get to
